Not sure what to say?

I was to hear of professor Moriarity's passing. He was my favorite instructor at SJSU where I had him for Linear Systems and Control Theory. He made those classes fun and interesting. Rest in peace professor.

2 of my favorite memories, (out of so many) we're the 2 concerts we went with Fran and Gene. Eric Clapton in San Jose and Judy Collins in Monterey. We had such a great time, especially Gene and Jorge who were total music fans. Gene was such an expert on many genres of music. I'll always remember those special times! Rest in peace dear Gene, you're so missed but always in our hearts.

Gene was a kind and patient older brother. All four of my brothers, who were all older than me, (Gene, Tony, Don, and Mike "Butch") are gone now. I miss all of them so much! I remember Gene helping me with my homework and laughing at my dumb jokes. He was smart and funny and thoughtful. I'll always miss you, Gene. I hope you are having a wonderful time with our brothers up in heaven. Lots of love to Fran, Avelina, Marty, and Lily. They have lost a truly wonderful guy!

I have known Frannie since 1986 and when she was never happier than after she met Gene! Ken and I enjoyed the two of them together on several occasions. I loved spending time in conversation with Gene and enjoying music together. He was so easy to befriend. My heart breaks for my sweet Frannie. Hugs to you and Avelina and Marty. Bonny & Ken Taggart

Gene was one of my best friends when I was new to Santa Cruz. We met at the gym where we worked out and talked about literature and philosophy. We laughed, went out to coffee, and when I was injured he took me to many a doctors appointments. I hung out with his family in the family home which kept my loneliness at bay during hard times. He will live on in my heart of someone encompassing the graceful open heart of a big Santa leaving the best kind of gifts we could hope for- those of loving,...

Gene and Fran allowed us to stay with them in their home in Santa Cruz, a beautiful home in a wooded area with an amazing family. My mom and our children had a wonderful time. Gene was so gracious and warm hearted. He will be missed very much. I love seeing Fran and the family so united and happy Good Bless you all. Rest in peace, Gene, you will be missed, but live in our hearts and minds. Love Monica Gonzalez and family (ELP)
