Mauria, I was so sadden to read about your dad. I can honestly say I know how you feel. I lost my dad unexpectedly as well 4 months ago. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.

Joanne, I have had you on my mind constantly since hearing the heartbreaking news. I don't know what to say or do to be of any comfort to you. But, I'm here IF there's anything I can do to be of help. I only wish I'd been able to know Gene.

I have known Gene but a few years... In that time, I am amazed at the warmth, joy and true Love of the Lord that shined from him.

No "words" can express how I will miss him... But I hold fast in the knowledge that he is "dancing with the Lord", and smiling down on all of us. We are sad for OUR loss, but Gene is in Jesus arms for eternity, and that thought is a huge comfort for us still here on earth.

I will miss not seeing him at "my" aisle at church... when our "dinners...

I worked with Gene when he was in Klamath Falls. I was the accoutant at Weyerhaeuser's Bly mill and "green as grass". Gene always had the time to help me when I did not understand something new. Through out my career I have always remembered him for that kindness. I learned early in life that you do not return a favor, but you pass it on. I considered Gene's help a favor and I have passed it on many times in my 35 year career.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. How fortunate we have been to have had Gene as part of our extended family and how special it was to share with him the days around Mauria and Craig's wedding.

Hold close to those memories that gave him his greatest joys.
