I so miss Genes smiling face and kind words.

There are no words to adequately describe how wonderful Gene and Sue were (are) as individuals and as a couple. The fond memories will last a lifetime. Sending love and hugs to Sue, Alex and Charlie and their significant others.

Gene Palma... what a guy. Gene always had a smile on his face, you would never know he was having a bad day. The joy of his life was his family. Several months back. My memories is Gene were always "Great example of a GREAT leader". My sisters Becky, Bonnie and myself worked at The Park Cities YMCA for 20 years. I (Brenda, still have the privilege of continuing on with "The Moody YMCA"). I have had a long career in the Y and have had several people that have made a difference. Gene´s positive attitude, wit and humor were contagious to those around him. He was a friend and positive influence on many of us. Mr Palma´s positive attitude and kindness will never be forgotten by the Starrs family. He taught us a lot and while making us laugh and feel special. A great example of a great guy! Thanks for sharing him with us!

Gene was an absolutely stellar human being. Every conversation was entertaining and enlightening. I was lucky enough to know him for a couple years and he will be missed.
