Dear Parker Family, I am so sorry about your father's passing. My daughter and I met him one day in Parker Park where he was sitting on the bench where he would chat with your mom as he watched the little neighborhood kids play soccer. My daughter, my dog and I had the most wonderful time chatting with your dad. He was kind and we looked for him every time we walked by the park. We send lots of love to you all.

Gene holds a very special place in my heart. I dealt with Gene and Tim as their sales representative during his time owning D&G Hardware. He opened doors for me for other accounts and I will always be grateful for that. He became a good friend and will be missed dearly. Thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Parker family. Rick Ott

I met Gene when both of us were in rehabilitation for injuries we had suffered. We became quick friends and got together once a month for breakfast. Gene was a one-of-a-kind personality and I very much enjoyed his company. I shall miss him.

This was a 2009 photo from the annual Christmas trip trip to Moab. I don't remember what said to Gene in this moment, but I will miss that sly chuckle, especially when it turned into a big laugh.
