Yea, Gene called himself my second dad. He acted like it too. What a great guy. My neighbor for 10 years, a friend for 27 years. He always told it like it was. He loved his wife and boys. Yea, he could whip any of us at raising money. I have so many fond memories of time we spent together and the times he would just check in with me to see how things were going. Gene was like a Brother and a dear Friend...Unless you had the privilege of really getting to know Gene you would never know the depth of this fine fellow. He was bright and had many talents, he even out fished me once in a while.
