I knew Gene and Ginny my entire life. They were my parents close, close friends. I always think of Ginny and her homemade Southern Peach ice cream on the 4th of July! Gosh, I have so many memories of spending time with G&G. Christmas Eve for as long as I can remember, and many, many holidays. When Ginny passed away several years ago, Gene seemed so quiet and sad. I am sorry we have lost such an amazing and wonderful friend, but happy he is with his beloved Ginny again.

Gene and Ginny Pomplitz lived on the street above my home for many years. Ginny was my high school counselor, shorthand teacher, and ultimately my mentor and inspiration. As a result, I pursued a career in Business Education and still am teaching today. I visited Gene and Ginny in their home several times and always felt the strong love bond they shared.
