Not sure what to say?

Thank you for being there for my dad. No words can express the love he had for you. At least you two are together again. Love and miss you lots.

Dear Daddy,

I love you and miss you. Thank you for our many fun trips to Disneyland, our many nice visits to hotels on the weekends and the sweet nickname you gave me, Petunia. I'm sorry that you got so sick and that you left us much too soon. Erin and I love you daddy. Please get well soon.

Love,
Kat

Thank you all so much for your kind words and for the wonderful memories you shared. I miss my dad so much. I especially miss the sound of his voice, the sweet way he would always answer the phone when I called with his “hello beautifuls” and “hidiho kiddos,” the great conversations we shared about everything under the sun that had become such an integral part of my life and his wholehearted support of every pursuit in my life. I have so many happy memories of my dad: him teaching me the...

I first met Gene at age 9, and he became my stepfather several years later. My fondest memories of him revolve around sports events, when he and my mother would cheerfully haul the 10 of us children, or some subset thereof, to the various baseball, football, and ice skating events. Gene was pretty happy at that time and so were we.

Gene was the only father that I have ever had. I have lots of fond memories of him: waffel Sundays, family barbecues and the good old post office picnics. My thoughts and prayers are with my family right now and always. I love you all.

This is a very nice obituary. Gene was my step-dad since I was 6, and since I had very little contact with my biological dad, he was my only dad. I have a lot of memories of Gene from my childhood,--going to Disneyland (the beer shirt and hat!), feeding the ducks at prospect lake, going to cave of the winds, skiing and the camper and many more. I very much wish I could be with my family to attend his funeral. I love you all.

I worked with Gene at the Postal Service. He was a sweet, loving man who talked about his family every chance he got. He will be missed. Peace on, Gene and God bless.

Dave, Ella, and I just wanted to send our love and thoughts to Uncle Gene's family. Although we didn't get to spend much time together, his love for his children was so evident. He was hardworking, intelligent, and loved dearly by his parents. We will be praying for him and thinking of him often.

Gene was a nice man who always had a smile and kind words. Blessings to his family.
