Not sure what to say?

Today, I was wondering how Gene was doing, but hoping that he was elderly and enjoying life. I was deeply saddened to learn that Gene had passed away, and so long ago (early 2013). He was one of my professors at the University of Rochester. I always liked and respected him. He was a thoughtful and highly effective professor. I learned a lot from Gene. From a sister-in-law who revered you for your work with great admiration for both you and your wife, my love to you -- please rest in joy and peace.
