Not sure what to say?

One more thing Gene...you were right about the organ!

hey Gene still think of you when teaching the pieces you taught me! Have fun with that orchestra in heaven! love Debbie

My memories of Gene are of making music together and sharing lots of laughs. His wonderful sense of humor brightened my day. I remember one day when he was trying to get me to see something his way. I said to him, "Oh, go walk on the water." His quick response was, "Ask me something hard". He was my inspiration and security when we performed our many concerts together. We always seemed to feel and interpret the music the same way. Maybe it was our shared Hungarian heritage. I didn't see him...

Dear Gene...my heart is full as I think that you taught me how to play the piano, and now I pass it on to so many others. Without you I would not be in this place! I will miss our Christmas lunches. Thank you so much for the kind words about the CD...it meant the world to me! I love you and miss you. love, Debbie

Dearest cousin, for all of my life you were my surrogate big brother, mentor, piano teacher and always my friend and cooking partner. Your loss is a grievous wound to my heart, and yet, I know that you are with your mother, my mother and all the rest of our family - and Bill Harms as well, another beloved friend. Would that I had known you were approaching your final days, because had I known, I too would have been there to see you on your way to a better place. Since I was not, I am so...

Gene,

I only wish we could have gotten together again after the wonderful time we had with Gayle in California all those years ago. You will always be one of my very favorite people. I know that you are in a much better place now. Save a place for me at the table.
Love you always,
Linda

We had such a great time at Manhattanville College making music and passing that music on to the kids. Gene was a wonderful musician and was passionate about his music. I'll always remember our lunches together when we would laugh (a lot) and discuss the musical goings on of the times. Gene was a wonderful colleague and a joy to make music with. Boyd Schlaefer and Michele McBride

A 'friend of a friend' who became my very own special friend from over 20 years of sharing his many passions for life with me; the Beautiful Music he played, Travel to wonderful places, Old (and new) Movies, Colors, Textures, Scents, Flowers, Style at it's very best... Musical, I am not--but Gene always assured me that I would know good music when I heard it...I listened to Rachmaninov's ' The Lilacs' with Gene the night he passed and even then, during Gene's dwindling hours, he had a twinkle...

We shared the love of music and many laughs and smiles over the years. He and his musical talents will be missed.
