EUGENE H. "GENE" SANDERS June 11, 1930 – October 27, 2013 Eugene Howard Sanders was born on June 11, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. His parents were Hugh and Gladys (nee Kosal) Sanders and they were of English and German descent. He died on Sunday, October 27, 2013 peacefully at his home in Beverly Hills, Michigan. Eugene was 83 years of age. Gene was a resident of Beverly Hills, MI for 39 years and was a former resident of Milan, Italy. He graduated in 1948 from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, MI. He was a graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI and received his Masters Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. Gene was a longtime marketing executive for General Electric. He enjoyed reading, classical movies, spectator sports and world travel with the Nomads Club. Gene was the beloved husband of Kristin Sanders (nee Immel) and the late Ruth Sanders (nee Norberg). Dear father of Steven Sanders (Penny), David Sanders (Rebecca Kress), Douglas Sanders (Jean) and Leslie Kappen (Mark). Grandfather of Spencer, Reed, Madison, Sydney, Patrick, Bridget, Conor, Kathleen, Austin, Erik, Sawyer, Soren, Darrel, Jacob, Kaleb and the late Shelby and Joseph. Brother of Bruce Sanders (Joyce). Family will receive friends Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:00am until Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak, MI. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial tributes to The Pontiac Rescue Mission.
