Not sure what to say?

Dr. Simko was my Strategic Managment Professor for the Fall of 2016. Hands down, he was one of the best professors at Monmouth University. My heart sank today when I learned of his passing via email from MU. My deepest condolences to his family (always spoke highly of his kids) and friends. He was such a great man, and I know he is and will be missed tremendously.

Gene was my Strategic Management teacher at Monmouth University. You could always see how passionate he was about his job and really worked to get his students the education they needed. Gene was very nice and a great person to talk to. He will be missed.

Gene was my Strategic Management Professor at Monmouth University in 2004. He was one of the best professors I had at Monmouth.

I was blessed to have Gene as a boyhood friend. He and I had the shared passion for military 'mini-models' and we would regularly head to Marsh's Hobby Shop and look for the latest piece to add to our respective collections of tanks, artillery pieces, and other vehicles. John, sorry to hear of Genes passing. I read his obituary.. You must be very proud of him. It's been a long time since I saw any of you. I will keep you and the family in prayer.

John,

Very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I hadn't met him but grew to know him through his photos of Sturgey, White City Lake and all the scenes from our old neighborhood. I believe he posted the only known picture of the wire bridge behind the Duck Island Power plant. He had a model of ESSEX in his office, IIRC.

And there were his on-line Italian cooking lessons. Sounds as though he was a true character.

With deepest condolences,
-Bill (from Trenton and from the...

My sincerest condolences to Pat, Gemma and Nick and to all who knew Gene, he will be surely missed by so many.

Gene will be so missed. I looked forward to running into him on campus. He had so much energy and enthusiasm for what he did and for Monmouth University. My heart goes out to his family and our whole Monmouth community. When I think about Gene I always smile. He made people laugh.

I was very to hear about the passing of Gene. I have fond memories of his classes at Monmouth in the late 80s. A great man! May he rest in peace.
