Not sure what to say?

I still have pictures of Gene and Anne hanging on my refrigerator I still think of them quite often. I was their caretaker for 6 years. I now own a home care business with same client for over 10 years. Gene and Ann will never be forgotten.

We think of Gene so often and can never forget all of the fun times we shared with Anne , Gene and their family. We have so many good memories. We will always be grateful for his friendship.

To all the Slussers:

My husband, daughter and I lived in the the little white house next to the Slusser's home on Main Street in Hopkinton Village. Gene was incredibly good to us, such a gentleman - and, so deserving of the kind words being expressed about him now. It was a pleasure knowing him. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Lots of great memories dating back to the 50's, including Gene's breakfast specialty - colored biscuits made with Bisquick and water, covered with butter and jam and referred to as “Thuds” by Gene because they landed in your stomach with a thud. He led a great life.

Jon, Rob and family my deepest sympathy. I was so sad to learn today of Genes passing. I enjoyed the year and a half that I took care of him and Anne. Ironically enough I just wrote a letter to him yesterday that he will never have a chance to read. If only I had written sooner. He was a wonderful man to many and he will be greatly missed. I will send the letter anyway so you can read it. Jon and Cheryl it was a joy meeting you, Rob and Nancy its was a joy meeting you. God bless all of you....

Gene you were a wonderful friend. I hope when it is my time that I meet you again in the great blue sky beyond.

He was the best of the best! There are no words to say how much he is missed.

Dick and I are very sorry to hear of Genes passing. We enjoyed talking with him and he especially enjoyed the Lobster Feed that we put on at our home for the Pals Antique Car Club.
Our prayers and thoughts are with his family,
Dick and Marge Welch
