Read MoreI met Smitty at Earl W.H. Mercer in 1992. It was my first driving job and he help me getting started. Looking back I wish I would have stayed there longer. I just learned of his passing, but I will always remember him from those early days of trucking. Until we met again.

A very kind and sweet man that we became friends with over the years. Always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. Our business shared the same building as Clouse Trucking and he was always there to help whenever help was needed. He will be missed.

When we lost Smitty we lost a truly amazing man. He always amazed me how devoted he was to his Job especially his rig and his farmers. I learned so much from him and I truly idolized him. No one will ever fill his shoes. Rest in peace Old Friend!!!

Rick and Jeff our hearts truly broke for you when we heard the news. Bill, Garet and Tyler remember that visit at Smitty's with Bronson. The one who's butt didn't touch the ground when he sat down.
