All-Gene was always very kind to my wife and me when we lived in Columbia. He assisted my wife Christie with some administrative issues at USC when she was a student there. The day he cleaned out his desk in Columbia he stopped by my office with copies of old Session minutes (that including community Civil War deaths) from New Harmony Presbyterian that as Clerk he had found and thought that I would be interested in. Kathy and all of the family, I count it a blessing to have known and spent time with Mr. Eugene Stoddard. I have fond memories of our gun and coin collections discussions and deals. I made a deal or two with him, who got the upper hand in the deals will always be a guess. But it didn't matter because he was full of deals and it was fun.
