Not sure what to say?

Uncle Gene was a kind hearted man who was always available to talk, give advice, and make me laugh. I lived with Uncle Gene while in graduate school and will always remember his generosity. While he enjoyed his solitary bachelor life, Gene was always in contact with family, checking in on how everyone was doing, whether they were attending mass. He cared very much for his family. I do miss my uncle Gene.

I have fond memories of my Uncle Gene from my youngest years. From fireworks to political debates with my sister. He was a gentle caregiver watching over me at Creighton. Even though I really didn't like dentists how could I refuse my uncle!! Thank you for taking such good care of me, Uncle Gene.

Uncle Gene was like a father to me during my young life growing up in Sidney. I have many wonderful memories of trips to the Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone on Sunday evenings. We also shared lots of conversations while sitting under the water tower watching the night time lights of our home town , Sidney. Although I didn't see Uncle Gene much in the past years he will always have a very special place in my heart. My prayers are with him.

To the Stormberg family, my dad - John 'Ray' Hyde. MD, CU 1951 and Stormy were friends for too many decades to speak in public. He visited our family in various locales before we landed back in Omaha. I remember his office in Countryside Village where we could just visit, which was a rare event for a small child. He and his generation had a better pace of life that we should remember and try to practice.

Stormy was my godfather, and a very important person in my childhood. We shared the same birth date, an impossible coincidence to a young child. I have many of happy memories of our shared birthday festivities.

"Stormy" was a great teacher and educator. I will always remember his very positive influence on my dental education career.
Signed, Dr. G. Brundo
Former Dean of Creighton's School of Dentistry

To the family of Dr. Stormberg: I consider myself a long, long time friend of Gene, dating back to my freshman year at Creighton U. Gene was a dental student at the time, and proctor at Wareham Hall. He became a friend then, and we renewed our friendship years later when I returned to C.U. as a dental student and he was an instructor. I will always cherish our friendship, and consider Gene to have been a wonderful man.
