This man saved my father's life. Almost 45 years ago he provided a new procedure called a Koch Pouch. The first of its kind back then. I met Dr Sullivan in the early 70's. That meeting saved my life.
Originally I was meeting him for the removal of a tag.
He took notice right away and told me I was a sick young man. His suspicions were verified when the proper tests were completed. Right away he removed my colon. He said it was so ulcerated that it fell apart
while being removed and fell back into the wound. If I had waited much longer the results would have been different. I was 18 then and as of 2020

Dr Sullivan delivered me on 2/22/54... I found his name on my birth certificate. RIP Dr Sullivan

I'm so saddened to read of Dr. Sullivan's death. He saved my life with complicated emergency surgery in 1988, and I will always be grateful for and remember his great skill and kindness. My partner and I send our deepest sympathy.
