Capt. Thaler made a tremendous difference in my police career. He was a great man and a strong leader. I will always remember him with positive thoughts. His leadership molded me into a positive person. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May my friend & mentor rest in peace.

I WENT TO THE FUNERAL HOME IN BRENHAM AND VISITED WITH THE THALER FAMILY WHOM IVE KNOWN FOR MANY YEARS AND NOTED THERE WAS A STRONG FAMILY PRESENCE, EVEN IN A TIME OF SORROW. GENE WAS BLESSED AND I HOPE HE RESTS IN PEACE.
