Gene always, always was kind, considerate and fair as a business man. John L. Hall my deceased husband of 15 years turned me onto Tempo Eye Wear. Today I want there and spoke with David to learn of Gene's death. I was supprised to hear this sad news. Today was the 1st that I passed ways with Gene's wife. I/we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Dave and his entire family. I an sure he will be greately missed by many. Until we meet again, may you rest in peace Gene

To "visit" Mr. Tutera at the shop became more of a social visit rather than picking out glasses. It was like I would have a fashion show and Gene would get so excited to show me all the new frames he got in. Then we would talk of family, cats, and life. I always left there with a smile on my face and a skip in my step. Gene just had a way of making you feel good about life. There is no other way to describe him other than a good man that made the world a better place. Rest easy and our family...

I remember he could look at me, go to the back, and come out with frames I loved. We became friends, having grown up in the same time period and with similar political and social views. He was the smartest, kindest, loveliest man. I am heartbroken. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
