Read MoreGene, as a basketball player and coach, and I, crossed paths twice after Muskegon County Community College. First at NAU vs Weber in 1967 when he received a standing ovation from the entire crowd as he left the court and in 1982 as coach for NAU, playing the University of San Diego, attending with a friend and our two young sons. I've, unfortunately, watched Gene's career from afar and have great respect for him.

Dear Visscher family, So sorry to learn of the passing of "Vissch". Lots of fun memories back in the Muskegon JC/ Business college days. Fun parties and pick up BB games. Truly a gentleman and always had your back. He taught me lots about Volkswagens. Really good person
