Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to her of Butch's passing! Butch and I go back to 1981 when I was the head coach t Fremont St. Joe's and he coached SMCC. We ended in a tie! Then Butch became our Riddell guy for equipment! We had so many laughs I can't begin to retell those stories. The best one was when the Port Clinton police called St. Joes and said they found a bag of football equipment on the side of the road with our name on it. The bag fell off of that dinger of a truck Butch used to haul...

My condolences to the family of Coach Weyer. He was mine along with many others our football coach. One thing I can always remember about him, he was hard nosed to his commitment to see SMCC succeed on the gridiron. I always will remember him as coach.

Dear Barb and Families, I just heard of Butch´s passing last night. I was so sad to hear about this. I first met Butch in the 70´s while I coached at Tiffin Calvert. Butch served me from 82-85 when I head coached Seneca East and later when I was at St. Wendelin. I stopped by in Castalia when possible just to chat and to watch Butch as he groomed his Ponderosa. He had so much pride for his Family and their successes. What a great man!! Love ya Butch!

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Next to my parents (Ed and Lucy), Coach Weyer was the biggest influence in my life. A lot of hard lessons that made me a better person. May you rest in peace Coach and May God Bless Barb and all of your family. Sincerely, Mitch Naufel
