Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary Ann,

I am so sorry for you loss; and for our collective loss of such a wonderful person. Honestly, Gene was one of the finest people that I have known. I can think of no one that rivaled Gene's ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and respected. From the first time I met him I felt like a part of his family. It was an honor to know Gene and I treasure the feelings that I have when I think of him. My best means of honoring Gene would be to genuinely vow to me...

Dear Mary Ann: I'm sorry I'm not at SJB to be present to you and your family. Since I am in Florida, it's impossible for me to be part of the funeral liturgy. But please be assued of my prayers both for Gene and for you. Gene will be missed by many people. He had a wonderful smile, which was contagious. What I liked about Gene was his personal interest in people. He truly was a man of love and an inspiration to me as his pastor. We will miss him at SJB. He was a remarkable man!
