HAVE KNOWN FR. YENNOCK SINCE 1950 @ IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, FULTON, NY. 7thGRADE , ST. MARYS. SCHOOL. THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM, HE PARKED NEXT TO ME IN PARKING GARAGE ABOUT 25 YRS AGO. HE SAID, " KNOW YOU, YOU WERE IN ST. MARYS" &BEGAN TO NAME MY CLASSMATES. HE LEFT FULTON IN 1962!!!!!!!!! HE WAS AN AMAZING MAN. DEDICATED, COMPASSIONATE & BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING!!! WE NEVER FORGOT HIM, & HE NEVER FORGOT US!

Msgr. Yennock was truly a wonderful pastor and advocate for St. Daniel's Church. My parents loved him and he showed them kindness and understanding. He visited them at home and brought the Eucharist and made them feel special. My Mom was at Francis House and he visited her weekly sometimes more often. She wanted him to say her burial mass and he did even though he was older than her. He was there for us all when my Dad passed. He brought us all comfort and clearly cared for them and us....

When I was a Chaplain with hospice, I often would call clergy to visit someone who may have mentioned them from having met them many years before. I sometimes had resistance, but never with Monsignor Yennock. He gladly visited people that he really didn´t know who had simply met him as a biker, or in some other way and brought consolation. I sometimes disagreed with him theologically, but I tremendously admired his pastoral care.

Delivering God´s message of love, grace, and eternal life, Monsignor Yennock was a blessed emissary. He truly recognized and appreciated all of the God-given talents bestowed upon family, friends, parishioners, and neighbors, and was thankful and thrilled when those talents were used in honoring God and the Catholic Church. As an evangelist, Monsignor had the gift, as I can relay a personal story of Monsignor Yennock knocking at our door, and essentially point- blank asking if I would...

My deepest condolences to all the Yennock families on the loss of Msgr. Gene, he was such a kind and gentle man. At any family gathering he was always smiling, joking, a pleasure to be around. He devoted his life to the Lord and now he has the honor to be seated at His right hand. May he forever rest in peace..... God Bless
