Eugenia was born on February 2, 1915 and passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Eugenia was a resident of Mineral, Virginia at the time of passing. Mrs. Bumpass graduated from the original Louisa County High School as valedictorian of her class. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 11 a.m. at Hilcrest Cemetery, Louisa; conducted by Rev. Travis Witt. In August 2015, the library at the newly constructed Louisa County High School was dedicated as the Eugenia T. Bumpass Library and Media Center honoring her many contributions to education in Louisa County.
What an amazing life she had. The community of Louisa has lost a dedicated servant. We are proud to have had her as part of our family for so many years.She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
