Colonial Funeral Homes - Brick Obituary

Eugenia Da Silva, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March, 7 2026.

Eugenia was born on November 5, 1931, in Argentina to Nicolas and Maria Catalina Centurion, who are both predeceased her. She later moved to the United States, where she built her life and raised her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joaquin Da Silva. Eugenia is survived by her loving daughter, Maria Gahagan (nèe Da Silva), and her son-in-law Donald. She was a cherished grandmother to Jack, Brenna and Sophia, who brought her great joy.

She is predeceased by her siblings Maria, Lina, LaPaz, Nicolas, Damian, Hilario, Virgilio and Jose, and is survived by her brother, Pasqual. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom she loved very much.

Eugenia will be remembered for her deep love for family. She was a phenomenal cook, and her cooking was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of sitting at her table. Sharing meals with family and friends was one of the many ways she expressed her love.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11:00 am at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Colonial Funeral Home, Brick is in charge of arrangements.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
