Read MoreThere was never anyone like Genie. I think of her so many years later and feel that she saved my life. She had a way of investing so much into her students, giving so much encouragement and heart into the lessons. I can still hear her voice. I was her student from 1968-1971, she helped me finish the BME degree in 3 years by continuing our lessons during the summers. Nothing was ever too much.

As a freshman at Shenandoah conservatory of Music in 1966, I can safely say that Mrs. Evans, my piano teacher, was the reason I made it through my freshman year and completed 4 years of study. I was homesick and she took it upon herself to get help for me and, of course, extended her own mothering nurturing. She was a sweetheart!!

Mrs. Evans was my piano teacher when I was a student at Shenandoah Conservatory on the fall of 1977. I remember her as a wonderful teacher and a caring and patient lady. My deepest sympathy to you during this difficult time.
