Not sure what to say?

I loved Genie´s smooth, Southern accent. I remember her telling me about having on flower earrings once when a "wa-wasp" starting buzzing around. I didn´t know what she meant; I had never heard wasp with two syllables. In later years when I was teaching 11th grade English, I happily used that as a sample of Southern accent. She was a love and a soulmate. Beth, I would love to connect with you at 501-5902971.

Genie was my first best friend. We met the first day of first grade at Beech Crest School and remained friends all these years. I saw her last in Maine several years ago. I am saddened by her passing and think fondly of her often. I think of many things I would like to tell her. My best to Lynne and the family. Bette Callaway

Genie and I shared many happy times at Ole Miss in the Tri Delt house, then visits in Jackson with our baby girls... and finally she showed up in New orleans, when I had landed as well. She was a true friend to all.. fun, intelligent and caring all in one. She leaves the world a better place!

Jeanie was a good and interesting person who made her late husband, my good friend Albert, very happy. They had good years together.

Jeanie and I knew each other in Oxford,Jackson, Maine and New Orleans. The world will sparkle a lot less without Jeanie In it. My condolences to her family and many friends!

We will miss our beautiful, feisty Jeanie and all the wonderful times spent in her happy place in Maine, where she and Albert senior, etched out memories for her family and friends to hold onto in our hearts.

She was truly a remarkable human being. May her children continue her legacy. My deepest condolences to the entire family. May her memory be a blessing.
