I happened upon Jack's obit by chance - what caught my attention was the heading "teacher and Mets fan" in the Star-Ledger version. I would have loved to have met your husband and father - my husband and I are DIE-HARD Mets fans and have been following the team for many, many years. Even though we HATE the Yankees, it sounds like Jack hated them more - I loved reading that he shot-gunned Yankee hats and detested their fans! He sounded like my kind of fan! May he rest in peace!
