As CEO of Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA from 2009-2015, I was lucky to work with Cookie on many occasions. She was always supportive. She imparted her vast knowledge of Girl Scouting in a friendly, non-controversial way, enabling me to do my job as best I could. Cookie cared throughg and through about helping girls develop and claim their own future. Cookie was a Girl Scout through and through in the very best sense of the word. Her family and friends have my heartfelt sympathy.

My condolences to the Grugan family.
Mrs Grugan was the secretary at Washington Heights when I was a student there. Then later, she was my Girl Scout leader. I have fond memories of her.

I remember a WOW leaders conference and Cokkie was in a breakout group with us. We had some props and ours was a teapot. My camp name from Small Valley was Pooh. Since we pretended to be Britush sipping our tea, I was dubbed by Queen Cookie as The Royal Pooh. I still think.of that day and our laughter.
