Eulalie Dauterive Obituary

Eulalie Francioni Dauterive, Lily, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the age of 95 to join her beloved husband Ralph in heaven She is survived by her son Dr. Ralph Dauterive, his wife Vicki Swan Dauterive, grandchildren Erin Dipalma, Jeremy Dauterive, Sean Dauterive and William Dauterive, eight great grandchildren, and her last remaining siblings, Gerry Brodus and Dolly Francioni. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Ralph Dauterive DDS, her parents, and three of her sisters and her four brothers. Lily was born in Poydras, Louisiana and lived in Arabi, Louisiana until moving to Slidell in 2006 and finally to Baton Rouge in 2015. Arabi was the home of most of her family and many great friends. After high school she worked as an interior decorator with her good friend Laura and provided curtains for many beautiful homes in New Orleans until she became a mom. Her life was filled with memorable and wonderful times with family, friends, dental associates of her husband, travel and events with the Thebian Fraternity and the Suburban Women's Club. She was always involved with charitable events for Saint Louise church and with her husband was a driving force for Operation Merry Christmas in St Bernard. In 1969 Lily and Ralph purchased the BarMcD Ranch in Picayune Mississippi where they raised cattle, cut grass, planted hundreds of plants and entertained family and friends for over 40 years. She was the ultimate host and keeper of the ranch house for many beautiful times at the ranch. Lily is also survived by nieces and nephews too numerous to list, some of whom will also claim that they were her favorite. She loved her life, her family and most of all her husband with all her heart. Special thanks to the loving and caring staff of the Memory Care Unit at The Claiborne in Baton Rouge, the staff of Lake Sherwood Assisted Living, and the staff of St Joseph Hospice. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the United Way, www.unitedway.org or a favorite charity in St. Bernard, Louisiana. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Ralph, I'm sorry to hear of Miss Lilly's passing. And of course, I knew Dr. Ralph had passed some time ago. I have fond memories of my childhood on Pamela Place and Doc and Ms. Lilly were like 2nd parents to me. I have thought about them, and you and Vicki, many times over the years. My dad passed in 2009 and my mom just passed just 9 days after Ms. Lilly. I pray they are all happily reunited in heaven. Keeping your family in my prayers. Love, Darlene Richmond Webb
