DAUGHERTY, Eunice "Rose" Harper, 87, of Richmond, formerly of Topping, Va., widow of Paul F. Daugherty Sr., passed away September 2, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn Rose and James E. Harper. She was also preceded in death by her son, Paul F. Daugherty Jr.; brother, Edward McCoy Harper; and two sisters, Thelma Horne and Jewell Barnes. She is survived by her daughter, Roselyn Keen and her husband, Page; five grandchildren, Daryle Daugherty, Shawn Markham Sr., Derek Daugherty, Lisa and Jeff Keen; eight great-grandchildren, Ashton, Hannah, Mitchell, Dylan, Megan, Shawn Jr., Bobby and Katlyn; two sisters, Joan Joy and Jean Mozingo; brother, James Marion Harper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all of those whose lives she touched. The family will receive friends Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, and where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

I tremendously adored Meemaw as you all know and truly loved the time we had spent together. She was one of the most fun loving and thoughtful persons that has touched my life.
