After David Jr. and I were married, we would receive Christmas cards from Grandma every year. She used to write the nicest letters and was always interested in what our two girls were doing and how big they were getting, even though she had never met them. I was so excited to finally meet her in person after all of these years and letters. She was a very sweet woman and we enjoyed spending time with her. Some memories I have are when me and Kevin spent a summer in Minn. We came home from church and there was a bat in the house. Kevin and I hid in the basement and grandma chased it around the house with a broom. When they dropped us off at the airport and we went through security, we had cap guns in our bags. They made a big deal about it and grandma thought we were going to go to jail. She was terrified! Maddies big memory was going to the beach with grandama knowing she had never been there...
