Eunice (Hardman) McNeil, 83, of Spruce Lane, Attleboro, died on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. McNeil, Jr. to whom she was married to for 50 years.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on September 17, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Graham) Hardman. She was raised and educated in Pawtucket and resided in Attleboro for the past 55 years.
She was formerly employed at Bergevine Brothers in Attleboro for many years as a press operator until her retirement.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who had a lifelong love for animals, having taken in many strays over the years. She enjoyed solving the T.V. Guide crossword puzzles, sitting at her kitchen table drinking coffee and the quiet peacefulness of her backyard.
Her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Mullis, were a sense of great comfort and support to her since the passing of her beloved husband, Thomas, fifteen years ago.
She and her granddaughter, Bonnie Jean, shared a special love and bond that brought each other much joy, happiness and laughter.
She will be greatly missed and forever loved by all.
Mrs. McNeil leaves three children: Jean (McNeil) Sawka and her husband, John Sawka, of San Diego, California; Thomas F. McNeil and his wife, Peggy McNeil, of Raymond, New Hampshire and Karen Mullis and her husband, John Mullis, of Norton; her grandchildren: Bonnie Jean Bellavance of Seekonk; Dale Bellavance of San Diego, California; Tina Mullis of Attleboro; Erica Mullis of Dighton; Ryan McNeil and Lindsay McNeil both of North Smithfield, Rhode Island and Lt. Sawka who died in 1995.
