What an amazing woman Eunice was. Our family were her neighbors on 66th Street and I was a friend and playmate of young Eunie. Their house was the most fascinating in the neighborhood. There were things Allen had brought home from his merchant marine travels; the paintings and art that Eunice had in the house -- and at Harvey Scott School -- and an atmosphere that encouraged creativity where the kids were always welcome. I am grateful to have known her. My condolences to Eunice's family.
