Not sure what to say?

My Sincerest and deepest condolences to Fr. Nick and the rest of the family. I did not know her very well yet she sounded like a saint. Aunt Effie sounded like she was truly a one-of-a-kind person. May she be blessed with the angels. From Mark, Mo and Dylan Bailey.

I will miss Aunt Effie! Thinking of all of you and keeping you in my prayers.

We loved Presvitera Effie and got to know her while Fr. Nick was at St. Michael's on the Cape. Her comment "Always be kind to yourself" was so special . Memory eternal.

Mary & Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. What a blessing to have such a beautiful person for a spouse, mother & grandmother. I am sure she will continue to guide you all from her heavenly seat. My God give you all peace and light until you meet again at HIS feet. Loads of love, MaryCarol

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Aunt Effie. I'm sad not to have had the opportunity to know her. It sounds like she was a wonderful lady.

To my dearest Father Nick and family, When Father Nick Gamvas announce the passing of your beloved Presvitera Effie today at the general assembly meeting my heart just broke. She was such an influence on me; the things I was taught in Sunday School, about church etiquette, her beautiful smile, her beautiful soul and the love that my parents had for the two of you. If I know my mom (the Angel) and my dad (the General), they both met her at the gate with welcoming arms. If there´s anything I...

I knew Effie and Father Nick as neighbors at Pheasant Hill Condos. They were a beautiful couple, full of love for each. Effie always had a smile and kind word for me and always greeted my dog, Tully, with a big pat. I remember telling her I loved her perfume and she told me it was called Euphoria! It fit her perfectly! She will be missed by all of us here at Pheasant Hill Condos.

Pres. Effie Manikas was a bright light, dedicated, caring, intelligent. She helped me to learn the ropes when I first started to teach Church School. We enjoyed seeing her in Church, and most recently, in the choir. We will miss her. May her memory be eternal. George and Leigh Doukas

Effie was always pleasant and welcoming to everyone she met. She was so very gracious and warm, and really fun to be around. I only met her a few times but the best memory I have of her was running the catering at Conference in D.C. A total power house! I'm happy I ever got to know her.
