Not sure what to say?

How lucky you were to have a Mom that fled her country to give you a better life. My Mom did the same. In their honor we must live life to the fullest.

Dear Willy, Paul, Julie, Ericka, and extended family members of Eva Eisen,

It is with great sadness that I learned of Eva's passing. I will always appreciate what a wonderful friend she was to my mother, beginning in Queens where we were neighbors, and continuing in Port Washington where she, my mother, and I and my family coincidentally all moved. I knew Eva to be kind and caring, always with an open mind and heart. Whenever I'd run into her, I would marvel at how happy and...

Dear Eisen family, may you find love and peace in one another during this difficult time.

My husband, Stan, and I knew Eva in Kew Garden Hills, NY, many years ago when she was raising her granddaughter, Ericka, who is the same age as my son, Jeff. They lived across the street from us, and the kids played together. We stayed in touch for many years, but after we both moved several times, we lost touch. Dear Eisen Family,

May God be with you at this time. He encourages us in the Hebrew scriptures to throw all our burden upon him and he himself will sustain us. (Psalms 55:22)

Eva, you were a class act. God speed.

Reading this obituary I am even more impressed. My high holidays were not complete without reading that Ms. Eisen had polished all the silver on the Torahs -- an impressive amount of work, even without all the other, larger things she did, for us and the whole community. She will be missed, by those who knew her and those who didn't.
