Eva A. Klingel, 88, of Wind Gap, PA, formerly of Bangor, PA passed away Saturday, April 30th, at Alexandria Manor, in Bath, PA

Eva was born in Wind Gap, PA on May 16, 1933, a daughter of the late Albina (Mikalonis) Sparrow, and Gutchiston  Sparrow, Sr.

She was the wife of the late George A. Klingel, who passed away in 2011.

Eva was employed as a baker at Giant Foods in Wind Gap, PA. until retiring. Previously she had worked in several blouse mills in the slate belt area. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.  

She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Wind Gap, PA

Eva is survived by a son, Barry Klingel, two sisters, Georganna Troxell, and Geraldine Butz, a brother, Gutchiston Sparrow, Jr. 5 grandchildren Joel, Stacey, Jennifer, Ryan, and Heidi,  8 great-grandchildren. and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Debra Due,  a sister Mary Ann Rissmiller. and a brother Richard Sparrow.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 5th at James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA. Family and friends are invited to call at 10 - 11 AM on Thursday, May 5th at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Wind Gap Cemetery, Wind Gap, PA. My deepest condolences to the family of Eva Klingel.we were neighbors for years and were friends with Barry and Debby, rip through high school.She was such a nice lady. Always ran into her at Main Street Market, and also bought Avon off her.Rip Eva and fly High. Barry she will always be with you She will be missed.

I Will Forever Cherish All The Memories and Times Spent With My Mammy.. From Going for breakfast on the Sunday mornings that I slept over, to swimming in the pool, putting puzzles together with her, and just all the times spent with her in general... almost forgot to mention the Christmas Eves as well as other Holidays Spent with her and ALL of the family Get togethers.. mammy you were the Best Grandmother Ever and I will FOREVER HOLD YOU IN MY HEART.. until we meet again.
