I just wanted to say that I am going to truly miss St. Maxwell. She was a shining star on the Madison Stringband. Back on Freedom drive, I looked forward to seeing her smiling face and helping her up onto the choir stand. She was a beautiful person and I am glad I got to spend some time with her at the hospital. Her last words to me were "I am glad you came, it makes me feel good to see you". I can truly say I am glad I went, held her hand, kissed her forehead and was able to say I love you...

It is with great sadness that I bear the loss of Mommo. I am her oldest grandchild. I always believed we had a special bond. I'm sure most of her grandchildren will say the same thing. I think that made her a very special person. She had the unique ability to make you feel you were the one person she looked forward to seeing and talking to. My Mom, Ruby Mae, died when I was very young. Mommo helped keep her memory alive for me. She shared photos and stories. She spoke of our similarities. All...
