Eva Pauline Mitchell
Mrs. Mitchell, 93, of Huntersville, passed away February 12, 2005 at Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home.
Mrs. Mitchell was born February 6, 1912 in Charlotte, NC a daughter of the late Charles Vernon Plyler and Virgie Skipper Plyler. Eva was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. She owned her own nursery child care center for over 25 years. She was an inspector for Douglas Aircraft during World War II.
A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Eva Pauline Mitchell will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday February 14, 2005 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, officiated by Reverend Rodney Mitchell. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her eight children, Bobby P. Mitchell and wife Alice of Mooresville, NC, Johnny Mitchell and wife Liz of Myrtle Beach, SC, Linda Helms and husband Benny of Lincolnton, NC, Brenda Mitchell of Mooresville, NC, Patricia Snodgrass and husband Larry of Indian Trail, NC, Mary Lee and husband Larry of Huntersville, NC, Sylvia Rochelle and husband Steve of Charlotte, and Jo King of Cherryville, NC; twenty two grandchildren; and twenty six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, John Ray Mitchell; two sons, Charlie E. Mitchell and Don King; three sisters; and two brothers. Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
