Byles Memorial Home - New London Obituary

EVA M. RENDA age 78 of Groton passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Fairview in Groton.


She was born in Wheeling, WVA on October 12, 1945 the daughter of Clarence W. and Mary Curry Kendall. She was married to Joseph J. Renda on April 23 ,1966 in Groton. 


Eva worked for many years at the Bridge Plaza Drug Store in Groton and the Gales Ferry Drug Store in Gales Ferry. 


Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, John Renda of Oregon, her daughters Renee Corning of Dover, MA and Tina Gallant of Putnam and her brother, James Kendall as well as seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Charles and Carl Kendall and her sister Kateri Craig.

At my teenage second home your mom was always gracious, welcoming and had a generous laugh. I remember her imparting her love of classic movies and her incomparable pickled egglplant. Much love and sympathy in your time of grief.
