Just seeing this today as I visit Croatia. I am likely just miles from where her family hailed. I did not know her, but as she spent her childhood in Bayou LaChute, where my great grandmother was born in 1896, I'm certain our families crossed paths. She sounds like a wonderful woman. I do wonder if she ever knew my great grand parents, Peter and Pavli Rozich, or my grandmother Anna Rozich Law. They lived on Bayou Cook, and Pavli was born on Bayou LaChute.
