Evan helping with the band

Evan was a selfless PRHS Band volunteer and an outstanding young man. My daughter said it best for our family...

You will be in our hearts and music forever and always. We will miss you.

To Bruce and Carrie,
Not only was Evan a GRAND PLAYER but you were AWESOME PARENTS to him....and that was obvious with your involvement in PRHS Bearcats! You are in our hearts ~ Janelle and (coach) Greg Griffin, Coeur d' Alene, Idaho

PS - My daughter Jill, is a member of Highlands Church...I know that you will be well taken care of...

I am still in shock of the news that evan has passed on to a better life. I was friends with Evan and on colorguard with his sisters. we reunited when we lived in apartment complex in atascadero... my heart truly goes out to the Courter family in their time of loss. may god bless you all and may evan's spirit live within your hearts always.

Evan was no doubt, smiling today as the band honored him at the memorial. He loved the PRHS Marching Band. I have lots of memories of Evan and his sisters riding the school bus.....we had lots of conversations and laughs. I will always remember Evan at the game on Friday night and his excitement and joy when we scored all the touchdowns and he was grinning from ear to ear as the band began playing.....Evan was always in his element when he was with the band. We'll miss you Evan.
Nanci...

Evan touched me deeply in particular one frantic day on the band bus when I was rushing in to be mama bear...

Evan cautioned me quietly offering me a different perspective I hadn't considered before. It was a growth moment for me as a parent that afforded my son space to mature too. When I feel the need to rush in, I still picture Evan's quiet calm and consider other options.

Thank you for that blessing Evan and thank you to his family, band and friends who helped Evan...

Evan was so devoted to the band and always such a joy to be around. His contagious smile and happiness will be very much missed. He spoke so lovingly about his sisters and loved his family.

We will miss Evan's special personality and love.

Always in my heart! I love you Evan Courter! God Bless you! Thanks for leaving a wonderful footprint on our hearts...

Bruce, Carrie, Erin and Erica
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time. Your son was a fine young man and always willing to lend a hand. Many of us involved with the band share your grief as well as wonderful memories of Evan. May those memories bring you peace during this difficult time.
