Dear Maria and Wayne,

I just wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear of your loss. From what Len has told me, it would appear that Evan confronted and ultimately overcame many obstacles in his young life; it sounds to me like his time here on earth was quite a noble journey. You must be very proud of his spririt and his strength. Again, my sincerest condolences.

Dear Wayne and Maria,
We were both shocked and deeply saddened by Evan's death last week. As parents, we can only begin to imagine the sense of loss, particularly at such a young age. It reminds us how truly fragile (and at times cruel) life is and that the time we spend with our boys can never be replaced and should never be taken for granted.
