Not sure what to say?

To Anyone who knew Evan,
I'm sure we all get a huge feeling of grief when we hear his name, see a picture, or even remember him with that optimistic smile that has embedded into all of our minds. I understand how fruitless any attempt would be to try to assuage this immense feeling of grief during times like these. I never see him more than two weeks a year in Michillinda, but his departure will be remembered forever. My deepest condolences to Rick, Katrina, and especially Claire, you...

To the McCombs family:
I am a 2001 graduate of Roycemore and I was friends with Evan, Olin, and Faisel. I just want to say that I extend my prayers out to your family and I wish you all well. Evan is in heaven right now smiling down at you and all of his friends. I took a picture with Evan that I have taped up to my wall in loving memory of him. God bless you all. We love you Evan, CJ

Trina, Rick, Claire - sorry for your loss.

No words can say how sad and how wrong this is. My picture is of him endlessly playing with the kids in the waves at Michillinda and then flopping down under the shelter to smile and make eyes at baby Christopher. Evan was a joy.

The moment i saw you i knew it was true,
That I'd love you forever and only love you.
The way you held my hand, the way you made me feel,
You made me feel special, thats how I knew it was real.
How could this be true?
How could this happen to you?
We left last summer, our two hearts apart,
Hoping later on our love would have a new start.
I wish I could call you and tell you how I feel,
I wish you could talk to me and say this...

I spent only one night with Evan at Drake, but i felt we had a lot in common coming from downtown chicago. He was an amazing young man, and he brought many smiles to many faces. He will be missed...

To the McCombs family:
I offer my deepest sympathies. While I did not know Evan very well, I do know that he was a very nice young man and a joy to be around. He was in several of my classes and brought a smile to my face many a time.

Dear Evan,
You have always been my best buddy in Michigan. A terrible emptiness exists in my heart, as my mind is flooded with memories. I will never forget the one-on-one basketball games, golf, canoe trips, sailing so far out we could barely see the beach, sneaking over to the Michillinda Beach Lodge to play ping-pong and shuffle puck, rodeos at the Double J Ranch, bike riding to the White Duck to buy candy and ice cream, swimming in the lake and roughhousing on the inner tubes,...

To the McCombs Family,

My heart goes out to you and I hope that you will get through this tragedy. He made a lasting impression his first year at Drake and will be missed on Greek Street.
