Not sure what to say?

On Behalf of the Selland Family, I would like to extend our condolences to the Morris Family. Evan is a true icon, and he will be missed by all of us.

Most Sincerely,

Evan was a great friend. I knew him during World War II when we were navy pilots. I always referred to him as the best three-fingered pilot in the navy. He had lost a finger due to an accident while running an obstacle course. A review board decided to let him stay in the pilot training program, because a missing finger on his left hand, they felt, should not detract from his ability to carry out his duties as a pilot. (Evan overlooked mentioning to them that he was left...

We called him "Cougar". When Evan and several of us reported for active duty to be trained as navy pilots during World War II, Evan was wearing a sweatswhirt with "WSC" on the front. Someone in the group called him Cougar, and I never again heard him referred to by any other name.

When I first met him 63 years ago, he was smiling, and when I last saw him earlier this year, he still had that smiling twinkle in his eyes. What courage.

His navy friends had the greatest...

In thanksgiving for the wonderful and long life of Evan who I met just last summer for his example and love to his family, children and friends. My love and prayers accompany each one you at this time of loss. Sister Gabriella

I am sorry to hear of you father's passing. I have fond memories of the time when Sara and my daughter Joni were in gymnastics. Your mother and father were so supportive. It was a very memorable time in my life. You are very lucky to have had such wonderful parents. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
