AUBURN- Evangeline A. (Thibeault) Joyce, 89, of 312 Millbury Avenue, Millbury, formerly of 456 Washington Street, Auburn, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 in Millbury Healthcare Center after an illness.
Her husband, Ronald Joyce died in 1946. She leaves several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles H. Thibeault, Sr. and three sisters, Frances Banks, Irene Chicoine and Adelle Schaefer.
Evangeline was born in Millbury, MA, daughter of the late Henry and Eva D. (Perron) Thibeault and then had lived in both Auburn and Worcester for many years. She had been employed for 15 years in the Housekeeping Department at the former City Hospital in Worcester until she retired in 1979. Mrs. Joyce was a member of North American Martyr’s Church in Auburn.
Mrs. Joyce’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn with a funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:15 A.M. in the funeral home prior the mass. Memorial contributions can be made to the Patients Activities Fund at the Millbury Healthcare Center, 312 Millbury Avenue, Millbury, MA 01527.
