Not sure what to say?

To the Crawford family, Dean Crawford has remained in my memory since 1972 my freshman year at Howard. Dean Crawford was an inspiration to my spiritual awareness when I attended Chapel, and the gospel choir was very uplifting. I cherish these memories. Former student, Lois

We all still miss you Dean. Your legacy is for so far reaching. Thank you for your kindness, inspiration and a life well lived.

I was saddened to learn of your passing. You were one of my favorite HUSD professors. You were always so kind to me, always encouraging. I thoroughly enjoyed every class I took with you. Every time I stand to preach it feels like you are there with me. Thank you for sharing your gifts with so many. To the family and friends, may the many memories keep us as we continue travel on our individual and collective paths.

I am so sorry to learn of Rev. Crawford's passing from this life. Years ago, I was a bridesmaid in the wedding of Betty and Evans. And since he was pastor at our church, Pond Street Baptist Church in Providence, Rhode Island and Betty was both choir director and organist as well as my relative, I knew both quite well. Betty, I know you feel that the loss of this loving man will leave a giant hole in your life. Praying that God's comforting hand will sustain you.

I have no words to express how much you meant to me and my decease wife , Kim Leathers. You were not only our encourager but we also held something else in common. Our wedding anniversary were the same ( June 4th) .i will forever hold you in my heart .Thank you for giving me the confidence to be what God called me to be. Thank you for our talks and fellowship.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Dean Crawford. His lovely wife had told me that he was in Manor Care in Adelphi,MD. I went on a search through the white pages only to find there was an address on Riggs Road and one on Georgia Avenue. I was unsuccessful in my search. The next thing I know, his death was announced. Dean Crawford was my professor in preaching. On any given day he could tell me what I had preached. But my greatest memory of him was that he asked me if he could...
