I met Eve back in the early 80s at Connoisseur and shared many a tale with her over my six years in a cubicle right outside her office. I kept in touch with her over the years and in fact, saw her quite recently at her go-to French Bistro, Matisse. Still ornery, still with the wry wit. Oh boy she was something. I'm going to miss her.
