I still think of Pinky often. I first met her when I was 9 years old. My first flight was that day piloted by my fathers friend Mr. Steve Bedford. While waiting for the Belanca to be preflight, I was entertained by Pinky. That started a life long friend ship and a boost to my flying career. I logging over 20000 hrs and obtaining my A&P license. and most all other ratings.
I would stop by while flying through and was always remembered by Pinky and a good cup of coffee. Yes she sure did...

MY SISTER AND I TOOK OUR FIRST FLIGHT WITH PINKY IN THE LATE FIFTIES IN HER BEECHCRAFT BONANZA. OUR FATHER, OSCAR OBST FLEW WITH HER MANY TIMES EVEN TO PICK UP A NEW PLANE IN THE MIDWEST.

I just read another email saying this is your aunt, Vicky, and not your mother. I am so so sorry.

Vicky, I remember how nice your Mother was, such a pleasant and giving lady. I recall a fabulous luau at your house when we were in junior high...my first experience with poi.
