Not sure what to say?

I worked with Evelyn in 1978-80 at the Naugatuck Daily News. I was a very green 22-year-old at my first journalism job. I remember her as warm, welcoming, with a great smile and always offering a kind word. She came to mind just recently as I was remembering the wonderful people who graced my life over the years. She was definitely one of them.

On behalf of the family at Children's Community School, we want to extend our condolences to the family. Many who are still involved with the school remembered Evelyn and had wonderful things to say about her and her work here.

Joe and Joan, Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your sister Evelyn.

May all the wonderful memories of Evelyn remain in your hearts forever. She is light shinning down on all of her family now. Our deepest sympathy. Elaine and Ron Clausen

I worked with Evelyn in Kerite, she also went to Jamaica with me and my daughter, where we had a fun time. She will be missed by her family, which was everything to her. RIP Evelyn, it was a pleasure knowing you.

We will always remember Evy as the woman who never seemed to age! A wonderful person who was loved by all who knew her. We know how much she will be missed, but just remember how fortunate you were to have Evy with you for so many years. Our deepest sympathy to our beloved Carrah family.

My fond memories over the 60 years that I've known Evy will always be with me. She was a wonderful, warm, caring, soul. God bless you Evy and all the Carrahs, I'll see you again some day.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
