Evelyn (Petrasso) Chasse, 69, of Westport, died Monday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Roger Chasse.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Alfred and Evelyn (Mello) Petrasso.
Mrs Chasse worked as a machine operator for Bo Mar/ Klear-Vue Corporation for many years retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, vacationing, musicals and puzzles.
Besides her husband of 47 years, she is survived by four sons, Robert A. Chasse and his wife Lorraine of Somerset, Roger R. Chasse, Jr. and his wife Robyn of Little Compton, Michael T. Chasse of Westport, and Kevin W. Chasse of Fairhaven, two sisters, Christine Rapoza of Tiverton and Paula Joseph of Fall River, a brother, Gerald Petrasso of Westport, 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME 2064 South Main St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4 – 8 p.m.
